Minimal Incision Brow Lift

Brow Lift | Detroit, MI
An endoscopic browlift can significantly reduce the frown lines between the eyes.

This procedure is performed as an office procedure utilizing local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia in Detroit, MI. The procedure utilizes small incision hidden in the hairline with the aid of a fiber optic scope to be able to lift the eyebrows.

The discomfort after the procedure is significantly minimized comparing with the open routine procedure; there will be swelling and bruising expected and the down time average is up to ten days. The advantage of this procedure is to minimize the loss of sensation or loss of hair that could occur with regular procedure. This procedure will minimize greatly, the wrinkles between the eye brows or what is known as frown lines.

Endoscopic Lift

An endoscopic browlift in Detroit is particularly useful with younger patients where the removal of excess skin is not required. With an endoscopic browlift, loss of sensation or hair at the incision site is minimized. Since an endoscopic browlift can significantly reduce the frown lines between the eyes, it is often performed in conjunction with upper eyelid surgery to achieve optimal results.

What are the benefits of Endoscopic Browlift Surgery?

Question:
What is a Botox brow lift and how effective is it?
Answer:
Botox® can be injected just below the brow with 3 units on each side for a brow lift of about 3 millimeters. This is a very popular procedure and is very effective.

Question:
What sort of complications do you encounter most often with the brow lift and how do you address them?

Answer:
Some of the potential complications that may occur include hematoma (an accumulation of blood under the skin), infection, and reactions to anesthesia. While most doctors are trained in techniques for safely manipulating facial skin and tissues, injury to underlying structures is possible, though usually temporary.

Question:
I have some very pronounced forehead lines. Is the forehead lift meant to treat this or is it more if you have a sagging brow? I don't feel that my brow's really sagging yet.

Answer:
A Forehead lift is an effective way to diminish fine lines of the forehead. After surgery good maintenance is required so that lines don't reappear with time; Botox is an excellent maintenance treatment.

Question:
I am 61 years old, male and in very good health. I have used Botox for almost 5 years to erase the wrinkles on my forehead. It works wonderfully but I think I am ready for a more permanent solution. My hair is receding and I wonder if the endoscopic brow lift will leave a noticeable scar because of the hair loss in this area.

Question:
Where exactly are the incisions made for a browlift? Are they visible after surgery? What if you have a receding hairline?

Answer:
There are two main options for incisions in a brow lift procedure. The “gold standard” in this surgery continues to be the coronal brow lift, which involves a large incision that runs just behind and more or less parallel to the hairline, temple to temple. Most surgeons believe this gives the most dramatic and lasting results.

For patients with less laxity, a less invasive procedure (called an endoscopic brow lift) can be used. In this technique, several small incisions are made at different points within the hairline, and a tiny camera is inserted underneath the skin to guide the surgeon as he/she operates.

Question:
Does the browlift have to be performed in a hospital and, if so, is an overnight stay needed?

Answer:
This can be performed in our Dearborn location as it is a certified surgery center.

Question:
What will my face look like right after my browlift? Will there be bruising and swelling?

Answer:
After having a Brow lift performed swelling and bruising is normal and can last up to 10 days.

Question:
How common is it for the ear to look distorted after the facelift? Does a browlift affect the appearance of the eyes at all?

Answer:
During a facelift incisions are made behind the ears. After surgery, it’s not uncommon for there to be some swelling of the tissues there which can cause the ears to look more protruded temporarily.

A browlift will minimize greatly, the wrinkles between the eye brows or what is known as frown lines. Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a commonly performed at the same time to achieve optimal results.
