Intense Pulsed Light Treatment

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a treatment with a machine that produces a very strong pulse light that will lead to remodeling of the deeper level of the skin and death of the bacteria.

The untreated acne will result typically with acne scars, which are depressions, and ice pic scars.

For the treatment of acne scars C02 laser resurfacing is successful and this can be done under local or general anesthesia.

The injection of derma fillers like, Restylane® or collagen are helpful in smoothing out the depressions.
