Collagen injections have been used for many years and have been proved to be safe and effective. Millions of peoples have used these fillers in the past few years. Wrinkle fillers have varied from utilizing autologous fat (fat from your own body) to utilizing bovine collagen pastes like Zyderm® & Zyplast®, Artecoll®, Fascian®, Cymetra®, and AlloDerm®, and human collagen fillers such as CosmoDermT and CosmoPlastT. This has proven to be very effective especially in lip enhancement lasting almost twice as long as standard collagen implants. This material is not extracted from animals so there is no risk of allergic reaction and no allergy test is required. Hyaluronic acid is a material that is present in the skin and is natural to it and injecting it is natural. This product has been used in Europe and Canada for many years and proved its safety before it was approved by the FDA in the United States.
